PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, established in 1905, is a proactive and dynamic multi-State apex organisation working at the grass-root level and with strong national and international linkages. The Chamber acts as a catalyst in the promotion of industry, trade and entrepreneurship. PHD Chamber, through its research-based policy advocacy role, positively impacts the economic growth and development of the nation. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the growth of industry in India, partnering industry and government alike through advisory and consultative processes. CII is a non-government, not-for-profit, industry led and industry managed organization, playing a proactive role in Indias development process. Founded in 1895, Indias premier business association has over 7200 members, from the private as well as public sectors, including SMEs and MNCs, and an indirect membership of over 100,000 enterprises from around 242 national and regional sectoral industry bodies.
On 29th June, 1970, the electric lamps and components manufacturers in India founded Electric Lamp and Component Manufacturers Association of India (Elcoma), representing the entire lighting industry. The main purpose founding members had in mind was to establish liaison with government bodies and to support each other in matters connected with lighting industry.
Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP), a premier institution, rendering dedicated services to professional organisations,
engineers and individuals for more than 86 years, resulting in
accelerated development in water resources, energy and allied fields,
including renewable energy, in the country and abroad. CBIP has grown
into an eminent organisation of international importance while serving
the nation equally with great distinction. CBIP is Indian chapter for 10
international organisations related to aforesaid sector.
An independent body that provides a neutral platform for the discussion and examination of issues critical to the development of the private power sector in India. The Independent Power Producers Association of India (IPPAI) was set up after the Government of India opened power generation to private players and invited developers to set up power projects in India. IPPAI was set up with the idea to provide a neutral forum to IPPs to discuss various issues and bottlenecks that the nascent industry faced. IPPAI provides a cerebral platform as also an engaging interface between players in the energy sector, policy makers (central and state level), electricity boards, financial institutions, ministries, power developers, Indian and multinational companies, equipment suppliers, EPC contractors and consultants.
The broad operational environment that affects the construction sector has several unique features not shared by other industries. This is true not only with respect to the dominance of contract based works giving rise to a distinct culture and problems of a different nature but also with respect to issues like finance, taxation and man-power related policies. Construction Federation of India (CFI) was therefore set up by the leading heavy civil engineering construction firms of India as a forum that would strive for bringing about all round improvements in the construction sector apart from aiming at long standing problems while striving towards resolution of operational as well as policy level problems faced by the industry. The Federation is a representative body of the leading engineering construction firms of the country engaged in the construction of critically important infrastructure projects such as dams, power stations, roads and highways, bridges, tunnels, seaports, airports, metros, housing and urban development and such other basic amenities.
Electrical Research and Development Association popularly known, as ERDA is a premier testing calibration, certification and research organization of India. ERDA was established by the Indian electrical industries and utilities with the support of government of India and gujarat and has acquired four decades of experience as a service provider. It is a not-for-profit sector organization.
