India is developing in all fronts and the economy is moving towards
rapid growth year after year. The reforms on infrastructure is taking
India from a developing country to a Rapidly Developing Economy RDE but
the infrastructure for power production is not keeping pace with the
requirements of such growth and is not meeting the target of planning
commission. The power crisis in India is one of the major bottlenecks
for maintaining our economic growth. This power crisis spark ignited the
Founder Chairman who started focusing his attention and initiated his
plans for contributing to the challenges of the power sector.
Keeping pace with the strategy of expanding the companys presence in the power sector, they have recently diversified into power generation through renewable sources such as biomass, bagasse, crop residue and RDF generated from our MSW projects. The power generation process is a thermo chemical process of combustion that converts the biomass to useful products. During the process, steam is generated which further operates a turbine. The exhaust of the steam turbine can either be fully condensed using a cooling system or used partly or fully for another heating activity. The latter is referred to as co-generation which is typically used in sugar mills where bagasse is used as the fuel source. This model is based on advanced environment-friendly, multi fuel technology and results in the lesser atmospheric emissions as compared to fossil fuel based generation.
The Orange Group is promoted by competent entrepreneurs with experience in developing 7500 MW capacity of power projects thermal, hydro, biomass and solar. The Group is focused on developing, constructing and operating renewable energy projects in the field of biomass, small hydro, wind and solar. The 75 strong Orange team has expertise in project development, capital mobilization, contract awards and management, project management and power plant operations.
The company is into Biomass System. The company has set up a 10 MW Biomass based plant in Desaiganj Wadsa, District Gadchiroli in eastern Maharashtra, at a cost of about Rs. 50 crore, operational since April 30th 2010. The project was commissioned in a record time of 16 months. The company has set up a fly ash bricks manufacturing unit in Desaiganj Wadsa, District Gadchiroli, The project reduces the burden to dispose of the aly ash generated by the existing 10 MW power plant.
The company is a renewable energy company that generates power and currently operating in India. The company is operating under diverse portfolio of wind, solar, hydro energy, biomass, and energy efficiency, and currently supplies 406 MW 1,2, of clean energy to India's power grid.
The Suryachakra Power Corporation Ltd was orgininally incorporated on February 28, 1995, in Hyderabad, a wholly owned subsidiary of Suryachakra, seized an opportunity in the renewable energy source to establish a 9.8 MW biomass fuel based power plant on a 30 acre site near Madwa village in the Champa Janjgir district of Chhattisgarh State. The project operations started in May 2008. The project is under operation through long term power purchase agreement with the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Ltd . The project has been registered with the UNFCCC for receiving of CERs.It is looking for further growth and expansion activities. It is envisaged that grant of open access would generate attractive evenues. SGEPL is on an expansion mode. An integrated power project of 20 MW capacity with a paddy mill and an oil extraction unit is being setup. As a long term source, an energy plantation is proposed. Further, a 40 MW biomass project has been planned in Andhra Pradesh.
