India, Malaysia sign pact on renewables
India and Malaysia have agreed to cooperate with each other in renewable energy, especially in biomass, hydropower, solar and wind power,. In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Delhi on November 14 by India's Minister of New and Renewable Energy Farooq Abdullah and Peter Chin Fah Kui, Malaysian Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water.The two countries also agreed to form a Joint Working Group for joint research, exchange and training of scientific and technical personnel, exchange of available scientific and technologies information and transfer of know-how, technology and equipment on a non-commercial basis.
