TÜV Rheinland’s new engineering solutions to ensure safety of oil and gas assets

TÜV Rheinland's Materials Testing Division is now offering Computational Engineering services to prevent industrial incidents by using a range of self-developed software tools modelling the behaviour of critical components. Dr Albert Bagaviev, Head - Computational Engineering and his colleagues can now determine the service life of different components, particularly those that are showing signs of wear or ageing. Various interactions can be calculated and any damage simulated. “The reliable prediction of damage, recommendations for safe operation and reduction of health, safety and environmental risks belong to our mission to drive the success of our clients,” explained Fred Gabriels, Managing Director of TÜV Rheinland Sonovation. The developed services are available to clients worldwide and will be presented at the upcoming ADIPEC 2016, on November 7-10th in Abu Dhabi.
