Reports indicate that the Odisha government is yet to address the raw material shortage faced by Vedanta Aluminium, a unit of Anil Agarwal-owned London-listed Vedanta Resources.

It may be noted that earlier the state government assured bauxite supply to the company's alumina refinery. Two months ago, the firm was forced to close down its 1 million tonne refinery owing to non-availability of bauxite - the key raw material used to produce alumina.
