PSPCL offers one-time settlement to recover Rs 2,300-cr in dues
Punjab State Power Corporation (PSPLC) has launched a one-time settlement (OTS) scheme to recover Rs 23 billion from the government and private consumers, who have failed to create their pending bills. Further, a single instead of multiple surcharges will be implemented and it has also reduced interest on delayed payments. Out of Rs 23 billion, Rs 12 billion is outstanding against various government departments. The government departments in the border zone and southern zone have yet to pay a total of Rs 3.23 billion and 3.15 billion, respectively to the corporation. While the western zone owes PSPCL Rs 2.67 billion, the northern and the central zone have total pending bills of Rs 1.53 billion and 600.4 million, respectively.
