Suzlon plans 2,000 MW wind projects
Suzlon Energy Ltd plans to build wind energy projects totalling 2,000 megawatts (MW) for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and independent power producers in Madhya Pradesh in the next five years. The company will also establish supporting manufacturing facilities in the State for this purpose. Suzlon said these projects will drive investments to the state and spur sustainable economic growth. The company says it has installed more than half of total wind capacity in the state. In May, Suzlon, the world's fifth largest wind turbine maker, announced a cash-less restructuring of its existing foreign currency convertible bonds (FCCBs) worth $485 million for five years, after complex negotiations.
