IREDA & KfW sign Gé¼100 million loan agreement

KfW Development Bank (KfW) and IREDA have signed the 5th Line of Credit (LoC) of Gé¼100 million to be utilised for ´Promotion of Green Power´ by financing renewable energy projects in India. The total loan period is 12 years including 3 years moratorium. This is the first LoC from KfW for which they are not seeking sovereign guarantee, making the new line of credit the cheapest ever from KfW.

The LoC from KfW, was signed by KS Popli, CMD, IREDA and Roland Siller, Member of the Management Committee, Europe and Asia, KfW and Peter Hilliges, Country Director, KfW, New Delhi Office in the presence of Upendra Tripathy, Secretary, MNRE.
