Power distribution project launched in Odisha
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched the Odisha Distribution System Strengthening Project, as part of the plan to provide uninterrupted and quality power to the people of the state. Naveen said the state government would invest Rs 2,600 crore for construction of 500 new 33/11 KV sub-stations under the flagship infrastructure development project. While 175 sub-stations each would be constructed in the first and second year, the remaining 150 sub-stations would be erected in the third year. The project would cover all the 30 districts with priority focus on rural and semi-urban areas.
