SCHOTT rated "Best Practice Company" in technology mgt
The SCHOTT group from Mainz, Germany, was recognised for its successful methods and procedures in technology management as part of the study conducted by the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology (IPT) and titled "Consortium benchmarking in technology management 2010-2011."
A total of 298 companies participated in the study from which the IPT and a group of companies selected five award winners. In addition to SCHOTT, Delphi Corporation, 3M Deutschland GmbH, Nokia, Siemens Networks and Dräxlmeier Group were honoured at the final event at Audi in Ingolstadt. Dr Hans-Joachim Konz, the member of the Board of Management responsible for R&D at SCHOTT said, "We are proud of the fact that the company has been rated a "Best Practice Company" and has received this honour for innovation and technology management. This confirms the efficiency and effectiveness of our strategy and execution of projects."
