Adani plans Rs.20k crore clean energy park in Mundra

Adani Group plans to set up an Integrated Renewable Energy Park at Mundra in Kutch district, close to its port and SEZ. The park, if it comes into existence, would be the first of its kind and will need an investment of Rs 20,000 crore. With this the company aims to venture into the complete chain of solar power generation and other renewable energy sources.
Group chairman Gautam Adani along with his top executives, has met chief secretary DJ Pandian and other senior secretaries of the State, and made a detailed presentation on the project.
Reports say that sources close to the development said that the company proposes to invest around Rs 20,000 crore in the Integrated Renewable Energy Park. ┬┤Other private firms will also invest in the park. The company will develop ready-to-plug-in facility as well as manufacture cells, wafers, panels, and power transmission equipment,┬┤ a source said.
