46 districts to see city gas rollout in 2015-16
In a move that would give 46 new districts in the country gas distribution networks in 2015-16, downstream regulator Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has started the fifth round of bidding for city gas distribution in 20 districts across Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka and Uttarakhand.
ONGC will see production rising
Oil and Natural Gas Corp. Ltd (ONGC), the country´s largest oil and gas exploration firm, believes its days of stagnant production are over and that it will sustain a steady rate of growth in production going forward.
Shanghvi may pump $1.5 mn into gas fields
Dilip Shanghvi´s Sun Oil & Natural Gas, an associate company of Sun Petrochemicals and Sun Pharmaceuticals, has signed a assignment Memorandum of Understanding for the transfer of Interlink Petroleum´s interest in the Modhera and Baola fields (Gujarat), and could invest $1-1.5 million in these oil and gas fields, Interlink Petroleum told the BSE.

AP domestic power tariff among the lowest in country
A recent tariff order has brought average power tariff for the domestic sector in Andhra Pradesh to among the lowest in the country. As per a statement from State Energy Conservation Mission, tariff in Andhra Pradesh is Rs 3.48 per kwh, followed by Tamil Nadu (Rs 4.05), Karnataka (Rs 4.50), Maharashtra (Rs 6.75), Madhya Pradesh (Rs 4.96), Haryana (Rs 4.98) and Gujarat (Rs 5.62).
