The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) is likely to raise tax free bounds worth Rs.2,000 crores from markets to support the solar initiatives of the government in next few months in a bid to lend soft loans to developers to accomplish the roof top mission of the government, according to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

In a move that would give 46 new districts in the country gas distribution networks in 2015-16, downstream regulator Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has started the fifth round of bidding for city gas distribution in 20 districts across Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka and Uttarakhand.

AP domestic power tariff among the lowest in country

A recent tariff order has brought average power tariff for the domestic sector in Andhra Pradesh to among the lowest in the country. As per a statement from State Energy Conservation Mission, tariff in Andhra Pradesh is Rs 3.48 per kwh, followed by Tamil Nadu (Rs 4.05), Karnataka (Rs 4.50), Maharashtra (Rs 6.75), Madhya Pradesh (Rs 4.96), Haryana (Rs 4.98) and Gujarat (Rs 5.62).
