Private power producer Tata Power reported a net profit of Rs 611 crore, witnessing a marginal decline in profit on a year-on-year basis. Even as expenses for the company rose higher than revenue from operations, the company gained from deferred tax benefits.
Exicom installs EV fast charger station at NITI Aayog

The government's policy think tank NITI Aayog has installed an Exicom fast charging station for electric vehicles (EV) at the organisation's office in New Delhi. Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation said EVs can substitute imports (of crude oil) and are cost effective as well as pollution-free.
Bajaj Electricals R&D centre gets LEED certification

The research and development (R&D) centre, ‘AB SQUARE’ developed by Bajaj Electricals has been certified Platinum status for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) which is the highest green building standard for its design, operation and maintenance that aims to help, building owners and operators be environmentally responsible.
Rs 4,000-crore plan to end KSEB power outage

KSEB Limited will soon launch a Rs 4000-crore project to modernise the state’s power distribution network, and rid the state of power outages, in four years. The project, which will begin in April this year, will be completed by March, 2021. Once the project is completed, the state’s distribution network will be made highly reliable and voltage drops will be a thing of the past.
Tata Steel offers Rs 170-bn bid for Bhushan Power

Tata Steel seems to be emerging the highest bidder for Bhushan Power and Steel. According to sources close to the development, Tata Steel has offered to pay Rs 17000 crore to financial creditors against JSW’s Rs 11,000 crore.
