Essar Oil, it is said, intends to acquire coal-bed methane (CBM) gas blocks both in India and abroad. The company had India's largest CBM acreage with over 10 trillion cubic feet of reserves and resources spread across five blocks.
Essar to expand Vadinar oil refinery capacity

Essar Oil has plans to enhance the capacity of its Vadinar refinery in Jamnagar in Gujarat to a total of 20 million tonne per year (mtpa) by undertaking an optimisation project at an estimated cost of Rs 1,700 crore.
