Maha's cogeneration plants to contribute 638 MW by 2013
In Maharashtra, cogeneration projects with an installed capacity to generate 374 MW power will start functioning by the end of March 2013. This will take the total power generation from coge-neration plants in the state to 1,101 MW. Of the total power generation, about 638 MW 58 per cent - will be pumped in the state grid and the remaining would be utilised by sugar factories to meet daily energy requirements.
