Jakson bags 10 mw solar project from UP govt
In Uttar Pradesh, Jakson Power Solutions will set up a 10 mw solar Independent Power Project (IPP) in Bundelkhand region at a total cost of Rs 800 million. The project is scheduled to be completed in by March 2014. The company secured the new 10 mw solar IPP from Uttar Pradesh government under its solar power policy announced in 2013.
UP to set up seven solar power plants of 130 mw
To set up solar power plants of 130 mw installed capacity, the Uttar Pradesh government on August 8 issued a letter of intent to seven companies. All these power plants by the companies will be set up in the Bundelkhand region. The State government has also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Lanco power Limited for acquiring around 424 mw of power for the next 25 years from 2016.
UP to cooperate if it bags nuke plants
Uttar Pradesh government has said that if the Centre decides to set up nuclear-power plants at Narora, Bulandshahr or Bundelkhand, then it would provide land, water and other facilities for these plants.
