Wind Monitoring Station to come up at Sorlagondi, AP
A Wind Monitoring Station is going to be set up at Sorlagondi in Nagayalanka mandal of Andhra Pradesh.
Centre for Wind Energy Technology (CWET), a research and development institution of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, in collaborating with Non-conventional Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NEDCAP) is setting up the Station. The maiden project was aimed at estimating the source of wind energy on the coastline in Diviseema.

Nod to Sinovel to sell its wind turbines in India
One of the largest wind turbine manufacturers in the world and Chinese company, Sinovel has received the ‘type approval’ from the Centre for Wind Energy Technology to sell its (specified) machines in India. This approval effectively paves the way for Sinovel’s entry into the Indian wind market.
