Amplus Energy offers solar power at Rs.3/unit

In a move that will offer cheapest power from solar rooftop plants, Amplus Energy Solutions has won a bid to install 14.5 MW of solar rooftop plants across 10 states. The tariffs offered are at a record low of Rs.3/unit in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Puducherry; and Rs.5.56/unit in other states such as Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra; while Rajasthan is at Rs.5.38/unit, Haryana at Rs.5.76/unit and Punjab at Rs.6.20/unit.
Solar saves Rs.40,000 per month for Siddhivinayak temple

Mumbai´s popular Siddhivinayak temple has reduced its electricity bills by 30 per cent by adopting solar energy over the last four years. Comprising of 72 panels atop the centuries old temple, the 20 kWh solar rooftop plant has been saving Rs.40,000 per month, while powering lights and fans on every floor, reducing their dependency on the grid.
