Vikram Solar commissions 80 MW in Guj
Vikram Solar said it has commissioned an 80 MW solar grid-connected PV power project, developed under the Jawaharal Nehru National Solar Mission Phase II Batch IV Tranche-I Scheme at Gujarat solar park for Gujarat Industries Power Company. According to a company statement, Vikram Solar will also provide O&M service to the plant for a period of 10 years.

Coal will continue to be mainstay for power generation
At the 21st Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), COP 21 in Paris, a resolution on limiting the use of coal across countries was one of the proposals put up for consideration.

ACME to supply power at Rs.4.43 per unit in AP
ACME, a green energy player, has bagged tenders for developing 200 MW of solar power projects in separate bids conducted by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and NTPC in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, respectively, it said in a statement. ACME won the largest share of 150 MW out of 400 MW at fixed tariff of Rs.4.43 per unit in addition to viability gap fund of Rs.55 lakh per MW.
