Coal linkages for power plants is top priority
Newly appointed Union Power Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on November 20 said his immediate priority is to get coal linkages for the power plants. On pooling prices of coal, he said that pooling of coal and fuel prices as pass-through is being deliberated. It is essential to ensure that generation remains on track and linkages are in place, he said. His ministry is in talks with Coal and Environment ministries to sort out issues of clearances, sampling and pricing, he added.
