Madhav Group, an Infrastructure developer and EPC player in the fields of renewable energy, roads and highways, integrated townships, oil and hydrocarbons, has initiated its plan for expansion in solar space through the REC mechanism. The company, a professionally managed, growth oriented infrastructure EPC con¡tractor, is leveraging its extensive EPC capabilities to build green projects across the country.
It has recently set up a 10 MW Photovoltaic plant at village Tikar (Muli) in the district of Surendranagar in the western part of India. The capital expenditure amounts to Rs 155 crore. This plant is an important link between climate protection, technology and nature preservation. The photovoltaic plant has been built at the highest technical level. 1,29,060 solar modules with an overall capacity of 10 MW are spread over 65 acres of land where from clean electricity is being generated and being fed to the Grid to meet the requirement of about 5000 households. The project has been commissioned in December 2011 and has been since consistently featuring in the top most efficient plants in the country with average CUF (Capacity Utilization Factor) of 20.53% which is much higher than estimated at inception and planning stage.
Madhav group is also developing 2 projects under the Gujarat Solar Policy of 5 MW capacity each and is expected to commission the projects by the end of November 2012. With this the company will have its overall installed capacity to more than 20 MW.
Madhav Group invites others to become a Solar Power Producer:
Madhav Group has planned and also taken initiatives to set up designated Solar Parks in the states such as Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. For this the company invites others players to become solar power producers and take advantage of the conducive policies of the government in the fields of solar power generation. The group will commit and deliver an end to end turnkey solution to the clients who wish to set up solar plants under REC mechanism with varying capacities. The conducive policies under the REC mechanism allow manufacturers, large industrial houses, service providers and others who have a captive energy consumption and need to satisfy their RPO (Renewable Power Obligation). The benefits of accelerated depreciation to the extent of 100 per cent as per the capex on the project as well as a 80 IA tax holiday for solar power projects is also highly beneficial for Business houses. Madhav Group has targeted to cater to clients, who understand the benefits of these schemes and want to set up Solar PV projects.
