The petroleum and natural gas ministry plans to turn Odisha into an energy gateway for eastern India by implementing oil and gas projects worth up to Rs1 trillion. While a substantial part of the investment is already underway, the remaining is expected to come in the next five years, said a note issued by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) on Friday. These investments include Rs 35,000 crore to set up a petrochemicals complex at the upcoming Paradip refinery of the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.
