The total installed capacity for solar power in India is just 1800 MW and it's a long way to reach the targeted capacity of 20,000 MW capacity under Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission's (JNNSM)by 2022.
Reforms are sought by all stake holders, experts and state level policy makers to expedite the growth of solar power generation at a one day conference organised by Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute (GERMI) and Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar.
The conference titled 'the future of solar energy in India' took up issues related to development of solar energy in India and concluded with suggestions to develop policy road map for sustainable develop of the solar energy sector.
