The renewable energy sector will soon witness a significant consolidation as the sector continues to see a big influx of new players, said Nidhi Tanti of Suzlon Energy. Tanti, however, advocated for better coordination between the central and state government departments on policies and regulations for the business of renewabke energy. The sector is witnessing good growth and the shift to a new bidding regime for projects has helped majorly improve things, she said. Nidhi is currently Vice President and Head of Business Review Committee and New Business at Suzlon and is involved in the day-to-day operations of the company. The government's focus has helped improve doing business with only state-level difficulties experienced so far. A close collaborative environment between the central and state government departments is required currently, she said adding that in the wake of a new policy regulation, there should be a definitive message that it will be the same in states.
