Skipper Pipes has signed an exclusive MoU with Indian Plumbing Skill Council (IPSC) for training more than 10,000 youths with both urban and rural plumbing skills. The MoU was signed in presence of Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Minister of State (IC) Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Indian Plumbing Skills Council representatives.
IPSC is playing an important role in vocational training of plumbers, providing recognition and certification to plumbers in accordance to National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). In this exclusive association Skipper Pipes will fund IPSC; to train youths with modern day plumbing skill sets so that they can adapt plumbing as their profession and earn their livelihood. Training is absolutely necessary to initiate a successful career in plumbing.
Commenting on the occasion, Devesh Bansal, Director, Skipper Limited said “We see it as an essential part of our corporate philosophy to offer training and develop skilled labour, thus enabling many young people to get a head start in their careers.”
On his part Rudy said, “We want to make India the skill capital of the world, and an initiative of this stature would definitely bring us a step closer to the national goal.”
