Sanofi has signed an agreement with Pune-based wind turbine supplier Suzlon Energy for a 2.1 megawatt (MW) offsite windmill station to generate renewable power for captive consumption at it's Ankleshwar plant in Gujarat. The company is Indian subsidiary of the French drug maker. They are using biomass from agro waste to generate power for captive consumption at its manufacturing facility in Goa since 2012.
