Telangana bags the first rank in power consumption growth
With a nearly 14 per cent growth in the annual power consumption for fiscal 2017-18, Telangana has emerged as number one in power consumption growth as it shot up to 60,237 MU in 2017-18 as against 53,017 MU in 2016-17.
JSPL to enhance Angul plant’s capacity by 2030
In order to enhance Angul plant’s capacity, Jindal Steel and Power (JSPL) has set a target to increase its capacity from 6 mtpa to 20 mtpa in the next 12 years. Navin Jindal, Chairman, JSPL stated that an additional Rs 500 billion will be invested to fulfill the target and promised that the company is all set to embark upon a new journey from 2021.

MSEDCL to set up 32 MW solar power plants in six villages
Under the Chief Minister Solar Agriculture Feeder Scheme, in which farmers get power during the day for agricultural needs, a solar power plant generating 31.67 MW electricity will be set up by the Nashik urban division of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Corporation (MSEDCL).
Skoda plant gets 980 kWp rooftop solar carport
In line with the Green Future strategy, a 980 kWP carport for Skoda Auto India has been commissioned by Fourth Partner Energy. Commissioned as a part of the India 2.0 project, the rooftop solar carport is expected to reduce 922 tonne of carbon dioxide emission each year.
Haryana’s first bio-CNG plant to come up in Kurukshetra
Kurukshetra will be soon getting its first bio-CNG plant based on agri-waste. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) and the Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency (HAREDA).
