Solar industry in the country is not complaining against the the Union Budget as there is nothing specific to the industry, but it is happy that the status quo is being maintained. The is no customs duty on solar cells and modules as domestic manufacturers have been demanding. The Budget does not set apart any sum for providing ‘viability gap funding’ to the projects that would be set up under the Phase II of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission.
