Only five plants had less than four days of coal stocks at their disposal as of June 27, the CEA data reveals. Comparatively, as many as 13 power stations had on average less than four days of fuel inventory in May.

The stock is about 20 million tonne, which is good enough for generating power for the next two weeks, he added. For the last five years, coal stock in power plants never exceeded 9-10 million tonne.
