Gujarat bags highest number of solar parks project

According to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh are emerging as the top destinations for large, utility scale solar projects in India. Based on the figures for Government of India’s Solar Parks and Ultra Mega Solar Power Projects scheme, Gujarat has bagged the highest number of approved projects.
Suzlon to sell stake in 130 MW projects before March

Suzlon Energy has divested 49 per cent stake in around 210 MW of solar power projects while sale of stake in another 130 MW of projects is in the works, with aim to be completed before March 2017, Kirti Vagadia, CFO, Suzlon Group has said.

Rajasthan, Reliance Power sign MoU for 6,000 MW solar projects

Reliance Power and the Rajasthan government have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), to develop 6,000 MW of solar power projects in the State in the next ten years. The MoU has been signed in the presence of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and Reliance Power Chairman Anil Dhirubhai Ambani.

ACME plans Rs 9,000 cr investments in solar power space

ACME Group plans to invest as much as Rs 9,000 crore to develop solar power projects in the coming years. The group, which already has significant presence in the telecom space, aims to set up solar power projects having total capacity of 1,000 MW in the country. At present, the group has about 18 MW of installed solar generation capacity.
