MHPS receives order for gas-based power plant in China
Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, Ltd. (MHPS) has received an order to supply an M701S(DA)X gas turbine and power generator for the no. 2 power plant of Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation (Ansteel Group), a leading Chinese steelmaker.
Essar Power MP stabilises Mahan power plant
Essar Power MP Ltd. hasy stabilised operations in Unit II of its 2x600 MW Mahan power plant. The company has secured coal through a Government-conducted e-auction for the plant. Essar Power Ltd built the plant, which is located in Madhya Pradesh’s Singrauli district, at a cost of more than Rs 8,000 crore. It requires approximately 5.5 million tonnes of domestic coal per year to generate full load.
Kudankulam NPP Units 5 and 6 entering implementation
Three main contracts for Units 5 and 6 of the Kudankulam nuclear power plant were signed between ASE Group of Companies (a part of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation) and the NPCIL on July 31, 2017. The contracts are: for supply of the equipment with long manufacturing cycle, for the first priority design works and for supply of the working documentation.
Vivaan Solar to light 4 NCR railway stations
Vivaan Solar has qualified to install 5 MW rooftop solar power plant at four major railway stations in Delhi/NCR. The tender was issued by Northern Railways, New Delhi for Anand Vihar terminal railway station, the Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station, the Old Delhi railway station, and the New Delhi Railway station, and their respective capacities are 1.1 MW, 0.6 MW, 2.2 MW, and 1.1 MW.
Hartek Power bags over 1 GW solar grid EPC projects in 2016-17
Having exceeded its target of connecting 500 MW solar projects to the grid, Hartek Power, has bagged 1,025 MW solar grid EPC orders in 2016-17, thus registering a phenomenal increase of 733 per cent, as compared to the company’s order size in the previous year when it had secured just 123 MW orders.
L and T makes its mark in Bangladesh
Larsen & Toubro Limited has commissioned gas turbines in open cycle for two large gas-based power projects in Bangladesh in quick succession during March 2017. The first 150 MW gas turbine for Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB)’s 225 MW Combined Cycle (Dual Fuel) Power Plant at Sikalbaha in Chittagong district was synchronised with the national grid on March 25, 2017.
