GMR commissions second 350 MW unit in Odisha

The second 350 MW unit of GMR Kamalanga Energy Ltd was declared commercially operational. The GMR Group is establishing 3x350 MW coal-based thermal power plant at Kamalanga in Odishas Dhenkanal District. The first unit commenced generation on April 30. Power produced from GKEL is being supplied to Gridco in Odisha as per the long-term power purchase agreement (PPA).

RKP Energy to set up 120 MW power plant in Ganjam

The Hyderabad-based RKP Energy Private Limited has evinced interest to set up a coal-based thermal power plant at Srirampur, near Chhatrapur in Ganjam district with an investment of Rs 500 crore.
