Awards: Swarn Shakti Award for NTPC's Ramagundam project

Some trophy winners in productivity were given to Ramagundam and Simhadri as runner-up; the Rajbhasha Award was won by Dadri and Ramagundam was runner-up; Employee Relations Award was bagged by Ramagundam followed by Korba; Safety Award in the major project category went to Talcher thermal followed by Ramagundam. Ramagundam received the Protection of Environment Award in coal-based category followed by Unchahar and the corporate social responsibility (CSR) and community development award was bagged by Ramagundam and the Dadri project was a runner-up.
The awards were given to the business unit heads of projects and regions by Arup Roy Choudhury, CMD, NTPC, and directors of the company for 2009-10.
