A Mechanical Engineer by qualification, Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NTPC, has over 28 years of experience in power generation sector. He started his career with NTPC and has worked at various levels in both Indian and multi-national companies such as Powergen, CLP, IDFC, CESC and AES. He has also worked in different areas of the power sector ranging from business development, projects and operations. Prior to joining NTPC, Singh was engaged as the Managing Director of Gujarat State Electricity Corporation

Vipul Tuli, CEO & Country Head India and Global Head. Strategy at Sembcorp Industries, is focused upon growth and governance, managing Sembcorp's investments and key stakeholder relationships within India. Before joining Sembcorp, he was a senior partner with McKinsey & Company, where he worked in the energy sector and helped build and lead the Asian energy practice. Tuli's experience spans power generation, fuel management, upstream oil and gas, refining, marketing and distribution, petrochemicals and speciality chemicals. A graduate of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad in 1982, Singh started his professional career as a mining engineer in Central Coalfields. Mohan was also the Minister (Economic) at the Embassy of India, Washington DC, between 2012 and 2015, and worked on enhancing India-US economic and commercial ties. A Masters in Political Science from the University of Hyderabad with an M Phil in International Relations, Dr M Saikumar, Chairman, Trantransco was earlier employed as the secretary of Public Works Department where he was involved in raising of the height of the Mullaiperiyar Dam from 136 ft to 142 ft, the Cauvery Award and the modernisation of the Namakkal Kavignyar Maaligairaising of the height of the Mullaiperiyar Dam from 136 ft to 142 ft, the Cauvery Award and the modernisation of the Namakkal Kavignyar. While in TANGEDCO, Saikumar claims to have drastically cut the organisation's losses by a whopping Rs 7,000 crore, from Rs 12,000 crore to Rs 5000 crore, by reducing power purchases from costly players from about 8 or 9 rupees a unit to an average of about Rs 4 a unit.
