NPCC bags $227 million contract for Mumbai project

The National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) of Abu Dhabi has bagged a $227 million (Dh834 million) engineering, procurement and construction contract from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), for a well-head platforms project at the offshore Mumbai High Field.

The scope of work includes survey, design and detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation, installation, hook-up, pre-commissioning and commissioning of the platforms. The overall project completion is scheduled for April 2012. NPCC has successfully executed several projects for ONGC in the past. The recent one being the well-head platforms project completed in April 2007 and another completed in April 2009. NPCC is presently executing two such projects for ONGC with scheduled completion pre-monsoon 2011. NPCC has committed to complete the other ongoing ONGC projects on time.
