Bengal govt opens IOCs bid for Haldia Petro

West Bengal has opened sole bidder IndianOil´s (IOC) offer for acquiring the state´s share in Haldia Petrochemicals (HPL). According to State Commerce and Industry Minister Partha Chatterjee, the decision on bidding round will be made public soon. West Bengal owns nearly 40 per cent stake in HPL. This includes nine per cent holding, disputed by the private promoter The Chatterjee Group (TCG). A decision on the disputed shares is pending Supreme Court´s verdict.
