Solid Solar in Jammu & Kashmir has drawn up an ambitious plan to electrify rural villages through the use of solar energy. Solid Solar seeks to provide green energy to villages of Jammu & Kashmir. The company has provided solar based home lighting systems, solar streetlights and solar lanterns to remote and inaccessible villages of the hill state.

A statement said that for the last five years, use of solar lanterns and solar home lighting system backed by easy financing by J&K bank has emerged as one of the most reliable ,affordable and healthy alternative to conventional electricity in the region.

With the need to transform the off-grid landscape in the country, Solid Solar plans to empower rural India by providing an access to electricity through affordable lighting solutions. Shubhra Mohanka, Director Solid Solar said that the company's entire product range including innovative solar lamps, solar home systems and solar based streetlights is aimed at providing affordable solution to villages lying in such off grid areas.

With easy financing offered by J&K Bank, the company is only motivated to go further and reach out to many more villagers. The effort is also being supported by J&K Bank which is providing easy financing on solar lights, solar streetlights and solar home lighting systems to village level end users.
