MP joins small club of states supplying 10k-MW in peak hours
As per latest figures issued by the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Madhya Pradesh will now be one of the few states which supply 10,000 MW of power during peak hours. According to Sanjay Shukla, MD, MP Power Management Company, figures issued by the CEA in its report for 2015-16 under the Power Ministry listed Madhya Pradesh is among the seven states which have more than 10,000 MW power for supplying during peak hours, making it a power surplus state.
Madhya Pradesh is the only state in the country which has seen constant rise in power demand and it ensured quality power to meet its maximum demand of 10,902 MW, the report adds.
