PPP framework needs to be reoriented
Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy said that there is a need to reorient the entire framework of Public Private Partnership (PPP). Addressing the Happening Haryana Global Investors Summit at Gurgaon, he talked about adding a people´s perspective to the framework, essentially making it Public Private People Partnership (PPPP).
Goyal further suggested that penalty should be a two sided affair in the PPP model, making the public body liable to fines as well, since partnership is sharing both profits and losses.
