Sadbhav Eng Secures Contract From UCIL

The Uranium Corporation of India (UCIL) has awarded a Rs 173 crore contract to Sadbhav Engineering to extract uranium ore from a mine in Jharkhand. Sadbhav Engineering will be responsible for extraction of 22.5 lakh cubic meter of uranium ore from the Banduhurang opencast mine located in East Singhbhum district of the state. In February 2013, UCIL had invited sealed tenders from contractors experienced in hard rock large open pit mine development. The project also involves transportation of the ore to the ground hopper at Turamdih and removal of an additional 60.75 lakh cubic meters of over burden or waste from the mine. The scheduled period of completion of this project is 72 months.
