Nepal imports power from India
In an effort to end load shedding, Nepal has received 40 MW of electricity from India, taking the total import of power from the country to 340 MW. The power is being given through the 132 kV Dhalkebar-Muzaffarpur Transmission Line, as per an agreement signed with Power Trading Corporation, India. Additionally, the country has added 13 MW electricity to its grid from the Madi hydro power project, Dinesh Kumar Ghimire, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Energy stated.
