Jakson bags 10 mw solar project from UP govt
In Uttar Pradesh, Jakson Power Solutions will set up a 10 mw solar Independent Power Project (IPP) in Bundelkhand region at a total cost of Rs 800 million. The project is scheduled to be completed in by March 2014. The company secured the new 10 mw solar IPP from Uttar Pradesh government under its solar power policy announced in 2013.
The State government, under its solar policy, targets to install 500 mw of solar power plants in the state by end of March, 2017. Jakson already owns and operate 20 mw solar power plant in Rajasthan which was installed under Phase I of Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM). The Rajasthan plant was commissioned by Jakson in February, 2013.
