The PT India Power League

We at Power Today are pleased to present the Power 20:20, the league of 20 companies and 20 people who have made a mark during 2016-17 going by various parameters, for the 9th year in a row. With the active research support of Feedback Infra Private Limited (FIPL), our Knowledge Partner, we have steered through this massive annual exercise successfully. The result is there for you to see. FIPL provides integrated services including Advisory, Engineering, Project Management and Operations & Maintenance Services to infrastructure projects across Energy, Transportation, Real Estate and Urban Infrastructure sectors.

Winners
It has thrown up some unseemly winners in the Teesta Urja Limited and Sembcorp Gayatri Power, which were adjudged as Highest Growth Generation Company in Hydro in Public Sector and Highest Growth Generation Company in Coal/Gas/Nuclear in Private Sector respectively. L&T and KEC International have bagged rankings in power gear sales in conventional generation and transmission and distribution, while Trina Solar proved to be a dark horse in renewable power gear sales this year. Among distribution companies (discoms) DGVCL from Gujarat from the state sector and CESE from the private sector emerged winners, while Karnataka stole a march over others in overall performance under UDAY.

Sterlite Power Transmission retained its position as the company with highest growth in network creation in the private transmission arena.
