GE Lighting initiates 'Luminate India' to showcase its products
GE Lighting, a division of GE, announced the launch of its ‘Luminate India’ campaign, an initiative to showcase the company’s portfolio of LED products and spread the message of energy efficiency and environment-friendly lighting. The multi-city campaign was flagged off by John Flannery, President and CEO, GE India, in Gurgaon. The ‘Luminate India’ van will be touring 35 major cities across the country over the next few months. The van will be parked at various spots in these cities where visitors can experience the aesthetically appealing and energy-efficient product solutions in life-like settings.
Meanwhile, GE India said that its new manufacturing facility at Chakan in Pune will develop localised products and solutions for the energy sector in its first phase of operation commencing in 2013. Prithviraj Chavan, CM, Maharashtra, said “GE has had a long-standing presence in India and this is yet another step in the right direction to strengthen this partnership.”
John Flannery, President & CEO, GE India, said, “Our new facility aligns well with the government’s objective of strengthening manufacturing and overall infrastructure of the country.”
