Haryana discoms to install 11,000 transformers
Haryana Power Distribution Corporation is to install over 11,000 new distribution transformers with an investment of Rs 500 crore to strengthen power distribution network in the state. Besides it is to erect 80,000 poles, buy required length of cable, conductors and GO switches for the power distribution work. Director, operations, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, VK Chaudhary said that the schedule is to complete the work in 900 villages during January and in additional 900 villages and urban wards during February. The schedule of work for February will be prepared within next two days, he added. He was initiating the programme of special maintenance, renovation and strengthening of the distribution system at village Beeran near Bhiwani.
