9 MW commissioned under in Karnataka Farmer’s Solar Scheme
Rays Infra Power has commissioned a 9 MW solar PV project, assigned by Brewer Energy Private Ltd. Despite facing challenges with the land being highly uneven, the dedicated project team adopted corrective measures and the project was commissioned within the stipulated deadline.
Spread over 60 acres of land in Pavagada village, Tumkur district, Karnataka, it is commissioned under Karnataka Farmer’s solar scheme, which provides Rs 8.4/kWh as tariff - one of the highest in the country. Farmers with lands in Karnataka could bid for up to 3 MW.
Elaborating further, Ketan Mehta, Chief Executive Officer, Rays Power Infra said, “We have a strong hold in Karnataka and this is our second project in the state. With 6.5 km, 66 kV transmission lines installed, the project has been set-up with a single axis tracker and fixed tilt technology and will give a very good estimate of the comparison of generation of both.”
