ReNew Power in talks with Canada's OMERS to raise $300 million
ReNew Power is in talks with Canada's OMERs to raise funds worth $300 million for growth capital and as a part of the proposed transaction may sell a minority stake. Other than Canada's OMER, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and Japan’s JERA are ReNew Power’s other backers. As per the drafted prospectus, the IPO was to see the company raise Rs 26 billion in fresh capital, while the existing private equity funds were to sell an aggregate of 94.37 million shares.
