Usha International bags National Energy Conservation Award 2016

Usha International, has been awarded the third time at the National Energy Conservation Awards 2016, for its contribution in BEE Star labelled fan category. Rohit Mathur, President- Fans, Usha International, received the award from Piyush Goyal, Minister of State (I/C) for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy. The Award is an annual ceremony organised to celebrate national energy conservation day and recognises the contribution of companies from various industries towards energy saving. Commenting on the honour, Mathur said, “It is a moment of pride as our contribution towards national energy saving mission is once again recognised by GoI. Usha reinforces its commitment to maximize its contribution to the national mission of energy saving, thereby helping to reduce the carbon footprint of the nation.”
In the Usha fan range, Technix is one of the lowest power consumption models in the industry with a 43 watts motor and comes with 5 Star BEE rating. Other models with 5 Star BEE rating include Vetra Plus, Exxo, Ergo, Striker plus. The company’s contribution towards energy saving over the past two years is calculated to be 20.9 million KWH units. This contribution is calculated by the standard formula introduced by BEE.
