Power line to improve situation in 2 districts
Power situation in two districts of Karnataka is going to be improved with the launch of the 186-km state-of-the-art 400 kv power transmission line. It connects Udupi and Shantigrama of Hassan district.
The new line is not only a landmark for the state in terms of technical parameters, but is also poised to improve voltage situation in the districts of Mysore and Hassan, besides some parts of Bangalore.This is because Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation will now be able to transmit an additional 600 mw of power to the state grid from the second unit of Udupi Power Company with the help of this new line, built at a cost of nearly Rs 400 crore.
