ICA India organizes Seminar on Electrical Safety
The International Copper Association India as a part of its series of organising seminars on electrical safety across India, conducted a workshop in Mumbai, to raise awareness and rectification measures about electrical hazards and importance of electrical safety. This was sixth in line after Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Delhi. Though GoI has bestowed high importance to electrical safety, poor practices, inappropriate or weak installations, improper sizes and low-grade quality of wires in the buildings have resulted into number of electrical accidents which are increasing every year. The workshop brought to light the need for sharing knowledge on international experience and areas where our existing regulations and standards could be improved.
